4D Modelling? Is that a typo? No it is not. 4D modelling has been around for a number of years and is basically a 3D model, but with the fourth dimension added – TIME!
When utilising TracBASE for construction or fabrication, we can integrate a time lapse to visually show on a 3D model how a project is progressing. This is a powerful tool for Project Managers and the like to see where issues could arise. It can be a bit hard to build a structure when the beams and braces are on site – but the columns are sitting on a dock in China and this is where 4D Modelling can help.
